How is the wood on the pews finished?

For deep grain definition, we hand rub the stain on every piece of furniture we manufacture – we do not use veneer or spray stains. To give a smooth, clear finish and extra durability, every piece of wood has two coats of sealer, lightly sanded between coats, plus two coats of high, solid, pre-catalyzed lacquer. To ensure extra durability on our colonial pew ends, every piece of MDF has two coats of white primer and three coats of white cab-acrylic lacquer. Unlike painted finishes, this lacquer finish will withstand a great degree of wear and tear.
